The Asylum Steampunk Festival is the largest and longest running steampunk festival in the World, attracting participants from around the globe. It takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend in the historic City of Lincoln.

For four glorious days the historic streets of Lincoln are thronged with thousands of splendidly dressed steampunks enjoying a festival which strives to combine art, literature, music, fashion, comedy and simple good fun.

The Anstey Gala is a traditional village event celebrating the heart of Anstey, Leicestershire; The Community.

Dating back to1977 to mark the Silver Jubilee, the Anstey Summer Gala has been the main event on the village calendar ever since.

Anstey Gala is organised by a volunteer committee with the support of Anstey Parish Council, Anstey Town Charity and local business who endeavour to make each Gala better than the last.

All profits from the Gala are split between the members chosen charities, that are often fed back into the community.
